The Abbeyfield Haddenham Society at Stonehill house, is a residential care home for older people. It is not registered for nursing care or for the care of those suffering from dementia. The registered provider is the Abbeyfield Haddenham Society which is run by a committee of volunteers with a variety of professional skills. Whilst the Abbeyfield Haddenham Society is independent, it is affiliated to the national Society and conforms to its standards. It has charitable status.
The philosophy of the Abbeyfield movement is to respect the individual and provide privacy with caring support in a family atmosphere. This is extremely important to the committee and staff at Stonehill House.
 Haddenham Local Activities
A wide range of activities and social events are regularly organised, such as wine and cheese parties, pub lunches in the Haddenham area, mobile cinema, card and board games, slide shows and many more. Occasionally we have talks by visiting speakers, exercise classes and bingo sessions.
Stonehill House is well served by the visiting library. From time to time, Haddenham community groups and staff provide entertainment for the residents. Birthdays of residents are always celebrated. We encourage our residents to take part in the many activities available locally, such as WI meetings, religious services etcetera.
